Milliners spend a lot of time thinking about how you can get a lot of size out of a hat while still having it be light enough to wear.  This boater hat achieves the goal with a sheer horsehair extension on the brim of a medium size buntal straw.  I used all my technical skills on this brim and she really floats around the head like a halo.  The large feather puff has yellow and teal accents and is matched by the splatter paint silk band..  The Margaux is geared to get all the compliments!  The brim is almost 6" wide and the crown is very shallow.  The hat doesn't sit down on the head but attaches with a discreet elastic that goes under the hair behind the head.
